Privacy is the architecture, not the policy.
The instrument was built so that there is nothing about you to lose.
What we collect
Your answer, the question it belongs to, the time it was recorded, the referring source, and a coarse self-declared country if you choose to give one. Nothing else.
What we never collect
No name, email, account, IP-derived precise location, device fingerprint, advertising identifier, or cookie inside the embed. There is nothing in our store that identifies you.
Why we record the referring source
Where a question is encountered shapes how it is answered. Referring source is recorded on every response and published with the results, so that context is visible rather than hidden.
What we publish and sell
Aggregate, community-level intelligence: distributions, movement after costs, country and source cuts above a minimum sample. We never sell or share individual responses, because we do not hold anything that could be one.
Retention
Aggregated results are kept indefinitely as a public record. Raw response rows are kept for the life of the question and its published analysis, then reduced to aggregates.
Your rights and contact
Because responses are not linked to any identifier, we cannot locate an individual response to retrieve or delete it, and we will not pretend otherwise. Questions: privacy@earthbeat.org
